Security and File Privacy

FlexDoc is built for practical PDF work: merge PDF, compress PDF, edit PDF, sign PDF, convert files, and organize documents with clear file-handling expectations.

How file processing works

When you use a PDF tool, the uploaded file is processed for the task you request, such as merging PDFs, compressing a PDF, adding a signature, converting DOCX to PDF, extracting pages, or editing a PDF. The server returns the generated output file to your browser.

Some tools process files in memory. Some conversion and repair workflows may create temporary working files while the request is running. Those temporary files are part of the document-processing workflow and should not be treated as permanent storage.

Safe use guidance

Review sensitive documents first

Do not upload files you are not allowed to modify, share, or process through an online document tool.

Keep original copies

Before removing pages, repairing files, compressing PDFs, or editing a PDF, keep a local copy of the original document.

Check output before sharing

Always open the downloaded PDF and confirm page order, signature placement, text, image quality, and formatting before submitting important documents.

Use HTTPS deployment

Use the HTTPS version of the site so files are transferred through an encrypted browser connection.

What FlexDoc does not claim

FlexDoc does not claim SOC 2, ISO certification, HIPAA compliance, legal compliance review, or certified digital-signature validation unless those certifications are explicitly added in the future. The site provides document tools, not legal, compliance, financial, medical, or professional advice.

Privacy-focused PDF workflows

For lower-risk files, FlexDoc can be useful for everyday workflows like merge PDF online, split PDF pages, compress PDF for email, sign PDF with a freehand signature, add a watermark, add page numbers, convert image to PDF, and extract text from scanned PDFs. For highly confidential files, use an offline workflow or a controlled internal system.

Report a security concern

If you find a security issue, broken file-handling behavior, or a privacy concern, contact FlexDoc through the contact page with a clear description and steps to reproduce the issue. Do not include private documents or sensitive credentials in the message.
